On June 28th, 2025, Verulam Photobooths had the absolute pleasure of bringing the party to the Stowe School Leavers’ Ball, hosted at the stunning Stowe House. With a Rio Carnival theme, the evening was a dazzling celebration of colour, music, style, and unforgettable memories — and we were thrilled to help capture it all.
An Unforgettable Setting
From the moment we arrived at 7 PM, it was clear this would be no ordinary school ball. Set against the magnificent backdrop of Stowe House, the event welcomed over 600 guests; all dressed to the nines in tuxedos, suits, ball gowns, and cocktail dresses — ready to celebrate in true Rio Carnival style.
A huge outdoor dancefloor kept the energy sky-high all night, surrounded by an incredible mix of entertainment: live music, a DJ, carousel rides, dodgems, and a spectacular fireworks display and of course the photo booth! With food and drink flowing all evening, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric.
Capturing the Carnival Spirit
While our photo booth’s timeless and elegant design fits beautifully in any setting, what truly made it pop at this event was our handcrafted tropical backdrop — meticulously designed and built from scratch by the talented Verulam Photobooths team. This one-of-a-kind piece is exclusive to us and reflects the high standards and creativity we pride ourselves on. Every element, from lush foliage to intricate detailing, brings the tropical theme to life in an authentic and immersive way.
Far from merely complementing the Rio Carnival theme, this backdrop elevated the entire photobooth experience. Seamlessly blending with the festival decorations, it created an inviting photo environment that encouraged guests to relax, have fun, and express themselves. The vibrant colours contrasted beautifully with the classic elegance of the guests’ formal wear, highlighting the stunning mix of sleek suits and gowns against the lively, festive background.
The effect in every photo was breath-taking. Rich greens, bright florals, and warm tones popped brilliantly against the clean lines and refined textures of attendees’ outfits, resulting in images that were both luxurious and playful. It perfectly captured the carnival spirit, making each shot a vivid, lasting memory of the night’s energy and elegance.
Our Setup & Service
We arrived early to ensure a smooth setup and seamless integration with the rest of the evening. Working closely with the event team, we positioned the booth in a high-traffic area that maximised visibility while keeping the flow of the event uninterrupted.
Once we were live, our team were on hand all night to assist guests, replace materials, and keep the experience running flawlessly. From first photo to final print, everything was taken care of, so guests could simply enjoy themselves!
Prints, Sharing & Keepsakes
The printouts were a massive hit. Guests loved the high-quality keepsakes they could take home on the night. But we didn’t stop there. Every guest also had the option to receive their photo digitally via Airdrop, text, or email, making it effortless to post their memories to social media instantly and keeping the quality of the image too!
Whether physical or digital, everyone left with a memory in hand, and smiles all around.
